1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, signing in, or accessing any service provided by Heptagone, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not access or use the platform.

2. Account Registration, Security & Authentication

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials (email, password, and active session tokens). Heptagone provides advanced security features including Two-Factor Authentication (TOTP authenticator support) and Active Device Session management. You agree to immediately notify platform administrators of any unauthorized access or security breach regarding your account.

3. Communication Services & Collaboration Features

Heptagone provides unified communication capabilities, including direct messaging, public and private group channels, voice notes, file and document attachments, real-time WebRTC audio and video conferencing, real-time typing indicators, and user online presence indicators. Direct messaging and group chats support client-side End-to-End Encryption (E2EE) using advanced cryptographic protocols (ECDH P-256 and AES-GCM-256) to ensure that the content of your communications remains private and accessible only to the intended recipients. All communications transmitted through the platform must adhere to professional and lawful standards.

4. Data Transmission & Push Notifications

Real-time messaging and status updates are delivered securely via encrypted WebSockets (WSS) and HTTPS. If enabled on your device, Heptagone utilizes Progressive Web App (PWA) push notifications to deliver real-time alerts for incoming messages and call invitations even when the app is in the background. Please note that push notification subscriptions and payloads are routed through standard external push services (such as Google FCM, Apple APNs, or Mozilla Autopush) depending on your device and browser. While the message contents are encrypted and secure, notification routing metadata is transmitted to these third-party networks to facilitate delivery.

5. Acceptable Use & Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to exploit or misuse the platform. Prohibited actions include: transmitting malicious code, viruses, or spyware; broadcasting unsolicited mass communications (spam); attempting unauthorized access to server infrastructure or other users' accounts; and uploading illegal or infringing content.

6. Service Availability & Modifications

We continuously update and enhance the platform to improve performance and user experience. While we strive for continuous uptime, Heptagone does not guarantee uninterrupted service. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time, and your continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of any updated terms.
